TV Sound Supervisor (Freelance)
After graduating in 1998, Peter joined the BBC as a trainee Studio Manager (radio studio sound mixer) with World Service radio in London.
In 2001 he transferred to BBC television news, and then in 2002 transferred again to ‘main block’ studios at BBC Television Centre as a Gram Op.
In 2008 he became a Sound Supervisor and remained a member of BBC staff until going freelance in 2015.
Peter has experience of many programme genres and styles and has worked on productions both big and small, in studios and on location.
He’s the winner of two craft BAFTAs – in 2013 for the BBC’s coverage of the 2012 London Olympics, and joint winner in 2023 for coverage of the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
